Resource and Support Center for Development was established in the year 1994 as a network promoting organization towards a VISION of the society where Equal and Appropriate opportunities are ensured to the deprived sections as a right & made available by state, to enable them to be partners in the National development and live in dignity, justice and freedom.

RSCD, believes that "development is basically a process of liberating people" from the paralyzing traditions, exploitative situations and deprivations. This results in bringing benefits to only a small section of the population and to those who enjoy political and administrative patronage.

RSCD is registered under the Indian Trust Act, The Income Tax and FCRA, Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India. Contributions are exempted under 80G of the Income Tax Act. (RSCD Redg. No. E-1495-Thane).
